Big Walk achieves major sales milestone in first week

Panic has announced that the cooperative adventure game Big Walk from House House has reached a significant milestone: more than one million copies were sold within just six days of release.

Commercial Success for the Co-op Genre

In a Bluesky post, Panic shared the news of Big Walk’s swift rise, thanking the community for supporting the game’s focus on social connection and teamwork. The publisher highlighted how players have not only played but also supported the game with creative efforts like streams, stories, and fanart, all contributing to its early momentum. “In just six days, over one million of you have bought Big Walk, our co-op adventure all about talking and walking,” Panic stated.

Spanning PC (Steam), PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch 2, Big Walk’s million-plus sales account for purchases on every available platform.

Focus on Social Play and Open-Ended Adventure

Designed for two to 12 players, Big Walk invites groups to communicate—via either proximity voice chat or text—and collaborate on solving puzzles together. While the puzzles encourage teamwork, the expansive world allows players to simply relax, wander, and experience the game at their own pace, a flexibility that many players have found appealing and refreshing.

Reviews have been enthusiastic: Eurogamer gave the game five stars in their coverage, with Chris Schilling noting the title as “a funny, exciting, and deeply rewarding multiplayer adventure that combines knockabout fun with some surprisingly big ideas,” crediting the creators of Untitled Goose Game with another strong success.

Extending the Studio’s Track Record

Building on their previous hit, Untitled Goose Game, House House has proven with Big Walk that there is a real appetite for cooperative games focused on communication and the joy of shared experiences. By emphasizing cooperation and casual interaction over competition, the game distinguishes itself in the multiplayer landscape.

Players seeking a relaxed, communal style of play have gravitated toward Big Walk’s format, which brings people together—whether friends or strangers—to communicate, explore, and solve challenges as a group. The approachable design and teamwork-based mechanics are key reasons behind both its immediate sales success and favorable reviews.

Looking Ahead

With over a million copies sold in just under a week and overwhelmingly positive feedback, Big Walk stands out as one of the most notable multiplayer releases of the year. The emphasis on connection, collaborative puzzle-solving, and welcoming exploration cements House House’s reputation for delivering beloved, innovative multiplayer experiences across multiple platforms.
